Growing up on a farm in rural North Carolina has its advantages. Watching her grandmother grow and preserve fruits and vegetables and learning how the process works gave Paula a love for home canning, cooking, and baking. Often, she would pick the berries to make some of her most adored jams herself. Taking her daughter along with her – passing along the information she learned from her grandmother.

After working for many years making jam, jellies and apple butter for friends and family – Paula was encouraged to share her  love of food with others.  The fruits used to make these jams are all grown locally. And the process is still done with care and attention to detail just like her grandmothers traditions taught her to.
